Lula doesn't know how to buy Brazilian

Brazilian president Mr. Lula has a funny problem, every new job generate in Brazil during the last 6 years prior to September Lehman Brothers debacle were because of him, right, of course.

Now that many companies have to adjust to lower orders, lower expectations, etc... the companies that are lay off people are bandits.

That a union man with very little formal education can't understand very well how to run a company is understandable, that the people surrounding him can't either is scary.

Embraer one of the few major Brazilian exporters had to lay off some 4,200 employees recently and the president of Brazil want an explanation from Embraer CEO.

Mr. President, if those jobs are so important, here are a few questions for you to think about very carefully.

Why don't you sell you Airbus 319 and replace it by an EMBRAER 195, why not buy Brazilian for a change?

Why the Defense Minister has not decided on the C390 project for the Brazilian Airforces and Brazilian Army, according to the press just this alone represent a big ticket item for Embraer, that can help keep those jobs.

Every one knows that Congonhas and Santos Dummont airports are operating on he limit with Boeing 737, Airbus 319 and 320, why not change the regulation and push TAM, Gol and other airlines to operate with Embraer 190?

Why can't Brazil change the taxation for those planes for the Brazilian airlines and help them buy Brazilian for less?

Why Brazil can't reduce the taxes for Brazilian airlines so they can better compete with foreign airlines.

If you put your people to work on more important things instead of creating problems with Italia, instead of supporting Chavez and his dictatorship state we would probably would be able to address and solve more problems in Brazil.

Mr. Lula is great to sell Brazilian, you are tryingver y hard, but you should also lead by example buying Brazilian products.
